Title I Schoolwide Program

Sibley East Elementary operates a Title I Schoolwide Program. A schoolwide program is a comprehensive school-improvement approach that allows Title I resources to support needs identified throughout the school.

Title I funds may be used for activities that address needs identified through the school's comprehensive needs assessment and schoolwide improvement plan.

Three Core Elements

  1. Comprehensive needs assessment: the school examines current needs and identifies reasons students may not be meeting academic standards.
  2. School improvement plan: the school develops a comprehensive plan to address identified needs.
  3. Annual evaluation: implementation and results are reviewed each year and the plan is revised as needed.
