Superintendent Search 2026-2027
The Sibley East Schools Board of Education has begun a search for a new superintendent. To assist with this process, the Board has contracted with South Central Service Cooperative to provide guidance and facilitation throughout the search. As part of the process, an anonymous public survey is now open through December 31, 2025. All interested individuals can complete the Sibley East Schools Superintendent Search Survey at the ONLINE Survey.
Sibley East Public School Superintendent Search Process:
November 10 – South Central Service Cooperative Consultants present search process and proposed timelines.
November 17-19 – Board approves contract for SCSC Search Services. Assist the school district in posting vacancy notices on multiple state sites. (SESE, Ed Post, MSBA, MN School Jobs).
November 19-January 2 – Board Planning engaging the community/staff/students through online survey and in-person input sessions. Create a profile of attributes for the new superintendent.
January 12-14 – Board Members provided time to review all candidate applications – confidential, board members only.
January 20 (Tuesday) – Regular Board meeting: SCSC Consultants present candidate profile report and make a recommendation on candidates to interview. The board approves candidates to interview.
January 26 (Monday) – Complete the first round of candidate interviews.
February 2 (Monday) – Conduct final interviews and Board offer.
February 3-13 – SCSC consultants work with the Sibley East Board committee and the candidate to finalize contract negotiations.
February 17 (Tuesday) – Board Meeting to approve new superintendent contract.
