Parchment is a free digital credential service that Sibley East and many other high schools across the country use to send transcripts. Current students will utilize Parchment to request Official Transcripts to be sent to another institution, an employer, or for themselves. 

You have received an email from your school with a link in it (or a handout with a code on it) to help you register for a Parchment account. We call this a 'registration code'.

A registration code lets you register for a Parchment account quickly because your high school and some other information (like your name and date of birth) will already be in the system. You can only register this way if your high school gave you a registration code.

  • If your registration code came in an email, click the link in the email and then follow the steps below.
  • If your registration code is in a handout, go to parchment.com/register, enter the code into the white boxes, and follow the steps below.
  1. Once you have accessed the page to register, fill in the fields.
    • All fields with a * (asterisk ) are mandatory.
    • If you get an error telling you that 'a valid password is required', make sure you enter a password that is at least 7 characters long.
    • Under Colleges, scholarship programs, and other institutions are looking for students like you, click Yes if you'd like to share your information with colleges, or click No if you'd rather not. 
      • If you opt-in, this means that we will make some of the information you provide to us available to a variety of colleges and programs. Then the colleges and programs can send you information about them, so you can see if they fit your college plans. 
      • Colleges cannot find you at Parchment unless you choose to opt-in.
  2. Check the box to accept the terms of use and service agreement.
    • If you're under 18, you must check the box to confirm that you have your parents' permission to create the account.
  3. Click Let’s go!
    • If you chose to share your information with colleges, you will have one more step where you will enter your contact and academic information.
How to Order:

Place an order
*Log into your account at https://www.parchment.com/u/auth/login

  1. Click the green Order button. If you don't see this, then you haven't added your school to your account. To do this, click + Add another school or organization you attended.

  2. Select your destination.
    • You can search for a destination, or enter a mailing or email address manually. 
  3. You'll land on the Item Details page where you will:.
    • Select Processing Time - default option is to Send Now,
      • if you would like to  wait until your next grades are in before sending your transcript, select Hold for Grades from the drop-down menu.

      • When do you want this sent
    • Confirm Consent - You will want to complete the following selections. If you've provided consent previously, you may not have to do anything here. Otherwise, this is where you (or your parent/guardian) authorizes Parchment to release your transcript from your school.
      • Use your mouse or stylus to sign your name in the box.
        • Sign Here
      • Type your name into the box and check the box to confirm that you are authorized to order the transcript.
        • Type Full Name
        • For minors, a parent must sign in the box, type their name, and check the box that certifies they are authorized to order the transcript. However, if you are a minor and ordering your college transcript, you can sign.
    • Your total charges appear in the top right corner of the page, and include any shipping fees.
    • Click Continue.
  4. You'll be taken to the Order Summary page where you will want to review your order.
    • To make any changes, click on Edit Order (Edit Order button).
    • To add another destination to your order, click + Add Another Item for Student Name.
    • Click Continue.

What happens next

  1. A confirmation email containing your DID (order) number is sent to the email address associated with your Parchment account.
  2. Your request lands in your school's Parchment Transcript Services account and they will review your order.
    • If your school places your request on hold, we will notify you so that you can contact them.
  3. Once your school approves and processes your order, we will send your transcript within ONE WEEK. There may be instances where your school will print your transcript themselves. You will be notified by email in either case.
