High School Counselor

The mission of the high school counseling program is to enable ALL students, regardless of individual differences, to acquire the educational preparation, college and career readiness skills, and social awareness necessary to reach their highest potential in an ever-changing society.

My name is Ingrid Al Sattam and I am thrilled to be serving the Sibley East High School community as the counselor for grades 10-12. I am originally from Gaylord, MN and graduated from Sibley East High School in 1994 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1998. I graduated from Capella University with a Master of Science in School Counseling in 2018.  This program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). Throughout my career, I have worked within the field of  Education and began working as a school counselor in Kuwait in 2014.

I work with students via one-on-one counseling, small groups and classroom presentations in supporting academic, career, and personal/social growth and development as well as assist with creating post-secondary goals and plans.
