I will be offering the following student support groups as needed:
- ADHD: helps child improve skills in organization, communication, self-concept, listening, reaching goals, relationships
- Anxiety: helps child find ways to cope with anxiety and stress
- Family change: this group discusses facts about divorce, sharing feelings related to divorce, help children find coping strategies to deal with divorce; support to know they are not alone
- Friendship/Social Skills: recognize feelings of others, appropriate ways to relate to others, and appropriately dealing with conflict
- Grief and Loss: explore stages of grief and learn coping strategies
- Self-esteem: helps students develop positive self-concept by doing activities that bring out their strengths and help them see their greatness
- New Student: develop coping skills and meet other new students
- Zones of Regulation: students will learn the four zones and feelings associated with each zone; develop a toolbox to help manage their emotions
