Welcome to Sibley Senior High School and Sibley East Middle School!

Steve HarterThere are many reasons to be proud of SE MS/HS, the primary being our students and faculty. This year (2019-2020) we have 700 of the best students in Minnesota enrolled in grades 6-12. Our teaching staff is composed of fifty professional, caring individuals that will do whatever is necessary to help students learn.

In an effort to prepare our students for their future endeavors, every student has their own Chrome book, which is used for educational purposes both in school and out of school.  We look forward to embracing the positives that we can gain from the daily advances in technology.

Technology is also of immense help to our students and families through Infinite Campus, an on-line grade book that allows both students and parents to view up-to-date grades and assignments. This feature, combined with the individual teacher's websites and the Infinite Campus planner/calendar (which contains the week's assignments, activities and lesson plans) helps provide the basis of a high level student-teacher-parent communication system. Please utilize our on-line grade book to help your student be academically successful.

We are also take great pride in providing some unique services generally not provided by other school districts.  As an example, our Peer Tutor program, whereby students help other students with their school work and other areas that are relevant to school, has become a tradition here at Sibley East. Another feature we have is the "Wolverine Way".  Each student is a member of a "den" or home room.  On Mondays, the students meet in their dens for academic counseling, organizational meetings, activities, etc.; on Tuesdays, Wednesdays,Thursdays and Fridays the students will either be assigned to a class room teacher for remediation activities if needed or will be able to participate in a academic enrichment/extension of their choice.

Another new facet of the SEMSHS will be the Sibley East "Touchstones".  These are a short list of statements that describe the way we will "live our lives" here at SEMSHS.  The process for developing these statements involved both students and staff.  The result of this cooperation has produced "touchstones" that will guide us throughout the 19-20  school year.  The touchstones are:

At Sibley East….

We appreciate our educational opportunities and strive for academic success.

We are welcome. We are worthy. We are all Wolverines.
